Gabb Messenger for Parents is now available on the App Store! It allows you to manage and monitor your child’s messaging experience on your own device. Read below to learn more about the kid and parent apps.

If you have more than one child using Gabb Messenger then we’ve made it easy to monitor each of them. Simply switch between accounts to review flagged messages—and a whole list of other safety options are right around the corner.

You can install Gabb Messenger for Parents directly from the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gabb-messenger-for-parents/id1617858168. Make sure to turn on Automatic Updates to ensure you get all of our latest releases.
On your iPhone, go to Settings > App Store and then enable ‘App Updates’. This will allow you to always have the latest version and features.
Gabb Messenger for Parents is currently only available on iOS. We will launch on Android in the future.
Upon initially logging into the Gabb Messenger for Parents app on your smartphone, it may take up to 4 hours for flagged messages to be forwarded from your child’s Gabb Phone Plus. If you are still seeing an issue after 24 hours, please contact Support.
Yes! Parents have a few options to choose from while using the Gabb Messenger for Parents app. You can choose to allow kids the ability to instantly delete messages or an option to have messages in the trash delete after 30 days. There is also the option to never allow messages in the trash to be deleted.
You will not be able to see all messages in your child’s messenger app, but you will be able to review any messages that are flagged as inappropriate or harmful. You will also be able to manage the deletion settings and an approved contact list.
If you’re seeing a screen that says “We were not able to activate flagged messages,” please hit the Try Again button. If you are still having issues, please contact Support.
If you have not yet created a GabbID for your child’s Gabb Phone Plus, you will need to create one before you can sync the device with Gabb Messenger for Parents. This means your child needs to log in (or create) their GabbID in the GabbID App on their device. If your child is signed into their GabbID and you are logged into Gabb Messenger for Parents app on your smart phone and you are still seeing a screen that says there is no GabbID detected, contact Support.
Yes! Parents can create an approved contact list. Kids can only send and recieve messages to the approved contacts. This contact list does not apply to phone calls at this time.
Eventually, yes. This early version allows the parent approved contact list to work for messages only. We are working towards a solution for including phone calls in the future as well.
The MyGabb App allows for contact management for Gabb Watches, as well as GPS tracking capability for Gabb Watches and phones. Gabb Messenger is installed automatically on all Gabb Phone Plus devices as the default messaging application for kids. It includes preemptive blocking for images with explicit content, links from unknown contacts, and harmful words from unknown contacts. Parents can also download the Gabb Messenger for Parents app to see flagged messages that their children receive, message deleting control, and creating an approved contact list.
